We examined the topics and the difficulty of the English vocabulary used in the two activities that the students considered to be the most difficult. In two post-program surveys, we asked the students why they felt it difficult to understand the English spoken during those activities. On the basis of the survey results, we analyzed the factors that hindered the students from comprehending the English used in these activities.
